Mountain Updates

01.23.2026 | We’ve been keeping an eye on the weather, and this weekend’s forecast calls for extreme cold and wind chills throughout the region. Given the forecasted weather conditions, the Sachem Quad and Glades Peak Quad will not operate on Saturday and Sunday. The South Face Express and Sunshine Quad will plan to open no earlier than 9:30am and all other lifts will operate as scheduled, weather permitting. If you plan on skiing or riding this weekend, we encourage you to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and take frequent breaks—maybe warm up with some hot cocoa—while enjoying this classic mid‑winter Vermont weekend. For real-time operations and conditions updates download the My Epic app or visit our daily Snow & Weather report.

Welcome to Okemo!

Today we are skiing and riding on 111 trails, and there are 12 lifts spinning. Lifts open at 9 AM today. 4” of fresh snow fell on Okemo yesterday and we are expecting a lot more early next week. In the meantime, the name of the game is layers! Temps today are expected to be in the high teens and snow is falling! The Black Out Terrain Park is opening today! Test your skills on one of our features!

Our grooming team was on the mountain overnight and you can expect to find machine-groomed conditions from Southface to Jackson Gore. In addition to the fresh snow our snowmaking team was hard at work last night blowing new snow on Eclipse, Roundhouse Run, Sunset Strip, Quantum Leap and Lower Mountain Road. That brings us to a total of 590 skiable acres and 41 miles of skiing & riding.

The Ski & Ride School has openings; it’s time you book that lesson you’ve been promising yourself since the new year! To make a day-of-reservations call 802-228-1600 or visit our ski & ride desk in the Clock Tower Base Lodge or in the Guest Services Lobby in the Jackson Gore Base Area. We have a team of fun and competent instructors to get you over that hump and down the hill.

Re-energize at one of our culinary options for lunch. Visit the Bull for a burger and a Vermont Craft Beer, The Coleman Brook Tavern for a Fiddlehead Bratwurst or a Turkey Pot Pie, and 43North features fresh, healthy, and robust salads. Our Quick Service Restaurants are also open. Stop in at the Base Cafe, Summit Lodge, Sugar House, Round House, and the Biergarten.

We appreciate you coming to Okemo, and we are working hard to provide the best conditions in the East.
