Hello Okemo!

Today we are skiing and riding on 120 trails and there are 16 lifts spinning. Lifts open at 8 AM this morning and all of Presidents Week. We will begin the day with a bit of an overcast and some flurries, however the sun is expected to break through later today and temperatures will be in the low 30’s.

Wardance and the connecting trails are on hold this morning for race training, Okemo is happy to support the Okemo Mountain School and our racers as they prepare to compete for the gold! Our teams were out last night grooming more than 40 miles of terrain. Challenge yourself to ski or ride from one end of the resort to the other, Southface to Jackson Gore. The snow will be wonderful and carveable today – have fun out there.

Speaking of carveable, when was the last time your skis or board was tuned? We have expert tuners on our staff, let us help you carve! Our retail and rental locations are located in the Clock Tower and Jackson Gore base areas, stores open 30 minutes before the lifts.

As the Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Bruce Schmidt, I support many departments. I have had fun writing the weather updates for the website to support dispatch and learning about how all departments support our mission of providing an Experience of a Lifetime for our guests.
