Snow & Weather Report

Good morning, Okemo! The snow is already falling, and we could not be more excited! About half an inch has come down so far and 4-7 inches are expected. Our snowmaking team spent all night making snow on Upper Tomahawk, Heavens Gate, Screamin Demon, Lower Sapphire, The Plunge, Express Lane, Nor'Easter, Village Run, Galaxy Bowl, Homeward Bound, Wardance, Black Out, Sweet Solitude, Fairway, and Ski School Slope.

We will be opening today with 55 acres of skiing on Turkey Shoot to Upper Countdown to Upper World Cup, to Chute and Lower Chief, Drop off and Link.  With that, we will also have Upper Sapphire, down to Route 103, Upper Arrow, Lower Arrow, Lower Mountain Road back to the Sunburst, as well as Fairway and Open Slope.  We will also have Double Dipper and Jolly Green Giant open.  All of this will be serviced by 3 lifts: the A-Quad, Sunburst Six, and the F10 carpet. 

 

Skiers and riders should expect temperatures in the low 20s with cloudy skies and snow showers. Winds will come from the South West at about 10-25 MPH. Machine-groomed surfaces with loose granular snow and snow showers will make for some awesome skiing and riding. Lifts spin at 9 am, so come enjoy Okemo on this perfect day.
