Good morning Okemo!

We are reaching a sweet spot in the winter season, the days are getting longer, the sun a little higher in the sky warming the trails a few minutes earlier each day. The conditions are silky and wonderful. We have had a lot of natural snow so far this season, in addition to snow making and grooming, we’ll be skiing and riding well into Spring!

Join us today on 114 trails, 14 lifts will spin this morning starting at 9 AM. We are 100% open, more than if you count all the unofficial trails in the trees! Wardance, Upper Chief, Lower Chief and the connecting trails are on hold today for race operations.

Speaking of race operations the Okemo Competition Center welcomes the Vermont Alpine Racing Assoc (VARA) U14 State Championships Super G today and tomorrow! Okemo is also Hosting United States of America Snowboarding Assoc (USASA) Friday for Slopestyle, Saturday for Rail Jam and Sunday will be Half Pipe Competition. Okemo Mountain Resort is proud to Support our future Olympic Champions.

Thank you to everyone that said hello to me over the last week and let me know that you read this report. As the resort’s Executive Assistant I have the pleasure of getting out to the lifts to meet our guests on the weekends. Sadly for the next few days I will be at my desk, but I can’t wait to get back out there.
