Skiers and riders shine at Okemo’s Light the Night Rail Jam March 3
Okemo Mountain Resort will light up one of its trails and a specially constructed rail garden on Bull Run, Saturday, March 3, for its annual Light the Night Rail Jam. A prize purse of $5,000 in cash, plus prizes, will go to the best skiers and riders in this jam-format competition.

Okemo to host Grommet Throwdown Jan. 6

Okemo Ski + Ride School supervisor named among Ski Area Management’s 10 Under 30
Okemo Mountain Resort Ski + Ride School Supervisor and Instructor Katie Brinton was named one of Ski Area Management’s 10 Under 30 in the July 2017 issue of the magazine. Brinton, age 27, of Water Mill, N.Y., made her first turns on snow as a Ski-Wee at Okemo. She is now a PSIA Alpine Level III certified instructor and trainer.
Okemo’s Snowboard Athletes Continue to Impress at USASA Nationals
Each year, qualified snowboard athletes from Okemo Mountain School and the Okemo Mountain Snowboard Team travel to Copper Mountain, Colorado, to compete in USASA Nationals during the first week of April. This was an exceptional year for Okemo athletes who took home 21 medals and set an all-time podium record for Okemo Mountain School (OMS).
Okemo skier funds new Patrol Hut
Gary Grainger, of Marion, Mass., is a long-time Okemo Mountain Resort skier and supporter of the Resort and owners Tim and Diane Mueller. Thanks to his generosity, Okemo’s ski patrollers have a new ski patrol building at the top of Okemo’s Jackson Gore.
Okemo joins M.A.X. Pass
Okemo Mountain Resort has joined the M.A.X. Pass. Fans of the M.A.X. Pass now have more resort options to explore; the pass originally created by Intrawest, Powdr and Boyne Resorts has 10 new partner resorts joining for the 2016-2017 ski and snowboard season. New this fall, the M.A.X. Pass welcomes Okemo Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey, Crested Butte Resort in Colorado, Eldora Mountain Resort in Colorado and Mountain High Resort in California.
