Dec. 8-10: Woodstock’s Wassail Weekend – A Vermont Chamber of Commerce Top 10 Winter Event! Twinkling lights and jingling sleigh bells, holiday stories, Yule logs, carols, luminaries, Santa’s workshop and house tours around the village green. The highlight of the weekend is the Wassail Parade through the center of Woodstock with dozens of horses and riders dressed in holiday costumes. Singers and revelers parade the streets. Visit Dec. 9: Okemo Moonlight Hike – This guided snowshoe hike up the mountain with Naturalist Joe Karl will offer a nighttime perspective of Okemo’s Jackson Gore. Dec. 15: FOLA annual Community Christmas Celebration – Friends of Ludlow Auditorium, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of the Auditorium for the benefit and entertainment of the people of Ludlow, the surrounding Black River area, and its visitors, celebrates the season with musical ensembles, choral pieces, skits and a sing-a-long in the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium on Depot Street, starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
