OKEMO MOUNTAIN RESORT / EPIC PASS FAQ

UPDATE: June 4, 2018 - Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Triple Peaks, LLC, the parent company of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado.

As expected, an exciting announcement like this raises many questions, so please take time to review the following information:

If a guest keeps their Okemo Mountain Resort Gold Pass, Ultimate Pass or Classic Pass (instead of exchanging for an Epic Pass) they will receive 50% off then-current daily lift ticket rates at all Vail Resorts-owned mountains beginning in fall 2018 with the start of the 2018-19 winter season.

What is the new benefit for Okemo Season Pass holders? 
Okemo un-restricted Season Pass holders will receive 50% off the then-current window lift ticket price at all Vail Resorts (VR)-owned resorts.

Which of Okemo’s pass products include this benefit?

  • Okemo Gold Pass
  • Okemo Ultimate Pass
  • Okemo Classic Pass

Which of Okemo’s pass products are not qualified and exclude this benefit? 
Midweek and College Pass products do not qualify for this benefit and are excluded.  All other lift access products are excluded.

When does this new benefit for Okemo season pass holders begin? 
The new benefit will begin for the 2018-19 winter season (Northern Hemisphere resorts) & winter 2019 season (Perisher, Australia) and is planned to continue beyond, as this is a multi-year agreement.

Which VR-owned resorts are included with this benefit? 
This benefit applies at all VR-owned resorts. The list currently includes:

Colorado:  Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone ; Utah:  Park City ; California:  Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood ; Canada:  Whistler Blackcomb ; Australia:  Perisher ; Vermont:  Stowe , Midwest U.S.:  Wilmot, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton

Are any VR resorts excluded from this benefit?
VR “ partner” resorts in the U.S. (Arapahoe Basin, Telluride), Canada (Resorts of the Canadian Rockies), Japan (Hakuba Valley) and Europe (all partners) are excluded from this benefit. 

What is the  “then-current” window lift ticket price at a VR-owned resort? 
VR-owned resorts offer different prices on lift tickets at different mountains based on the time of year. “Then-current” is the same-day window price of a lift ticket for your age category on the day you intend to use the 50% off benefit.

Is this benefit transferable? 
No. Only the named Okemo Passholder may use this benefit.

When will the benefit be available to Okemo season pass holders? 
You will be able to use this benefit during the winter operating season for each VR-owned resort based on each resort’s respective opening and closing dates.

Can I use the 50% VR-benefit before Okemo Mountain Resort opens for the winter? 
Yes, as long as it is during the 2018-19 winter operating season.

Can I use the 50% VR-benefit after Okemo Mountain Resort closes for the winter? 
Yes, as long as it is during the 2018-19 winter operating season.

Are there any blackout dates for this new 50% benefit? 
No. The benefit is unrestricted and may be used anytime during the 2018-19 winter operating season.

Is there a limit to the number of days the Okemo season pass holder can use this benefit? 
No. You may use this 50% benefit for one lift ticket per day with no limit on the number of days you purchase.

I am an Okemo season pass holder, may I bring a non-Okemo pass holder along to receive this benefit at a VR-owned resort? 
No. This benefit is non-transferable. Only the owner of the Gold Pass, Ultimate Pass or Classic Pass may present their pass to receive the 50% benefit. One (1) lift ticket per pass holder per day.

How do I use this new 50% benefit? 
Present your valid Okemo Gold Pass, Ultimate Pass or Classic Pass at any VR-owned resort lift ticket window. VR will validate that your season pass is active and issue you an Epic 1-day lift ticket. An additional form of photo ID may be requested.

Can I go direct-to-lift at a VR-owned resort with my Okemo Season Pass? 
No. You must present your valid Okemo season pass at a ticket window where you will be issued an Epic 1-day lift ticket for access.

Can I purchase a multi-day lift ticket and receive the 50% off benefit? 
No. The 50% off discount is applicable to the then-current price of a 1-day window lift ticket. An individual, single-day lift ticket will need to be purchased for each day.

Can I purchase an Epic 1-day lift ticket online, in advance, and receive the 50% off benefit? 
No. The 50% off discount is applicable to the then-current price of a 1-day window lift ticket. The lift ticket must be purchased at the ticket window.

Can I purchase a discount lift ticket and give it to my friend? 
No. The benefit is non-transferable and may only be used by the named Okemo Season Pass holder.

Can I purchase more than one discount lift ticket per day? 
No. The benefit is limited to one lift ticket per day per season pass.

Are my “Bring a Friend Tickets” on my Okemo Ultimate Pass valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts?
No. Ultimate Pass “Bring a Friend Tickets” are only valid at Okemo Mountain Resort.

Do Okemo Ultimate, Classic and Gold Pass holders get summer lift access at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts?
No. Any associated summer benefits for Okemo Ultimate, Classic and Gold Pass holders are only valid at Okemo.
