Downhill Mountain Bike Development Camp for Kids

The youth camp runs for two days, focusing on getting kids of all levels working on fundamental skills, progressing into more detailed downhill and freeride specific applications. Camp takes place at our lower mountain lift, where we have trails ranging from beginner to intermediate. For the more experienced youth, we will have more advanced riding from the summit. Skills practiced will include proper braking, cornering, balancing, descending, and lifting up and over obstacles. Not only will they get a great introduction to lift accessed mountain biking, but they will also learn about safety and rider etiquette. There will also be time reserved for new trail exploration and trail building on our summit expansion project where the kids will get to see firsthand what is involved in making a new trail, and have a chance to get their hands dirty.
In addition to mountain biking at Evolution Bike Park, the kids will get lunch and some “recovery” time at the Adventure Zone where there are many kid friendly activities.
Full Face Helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves are required. Personal bikes are allowed and hard-tails are available for rent. Rental bikes and protective equipment is limited and available upon reservation.
Kids ranging in age from 8-13 are best suited for this program, but exceptions can be made with further discussion.

20” bike 3’-6” to 4’
24” bike 4’ to 4’-9”
The camp runs Thursday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Camp rate is $200 per person* . This includes all required items for the camp (bike, protection, lift ticket).
* No discounts for current pass holders or personal equipment use.
