Snow Sports Program Director
Competition Center & Racing | Full Time | Year Round
Okemo Mountain Resort and Okemo Mountain School are seeking a Snow Sports Program Director to oversee athletic programs at both the Okemo Competition Center and Okemo Mountain School. The individual will be employed jointly by both organizations. The Snow Sports Program Director will be responsible for the management of all competition programs and athletes (alpine ski racing, snowboard, and freestyle/freeskiing), including the supervision of all coaches and curriculum development for each age group and discipline. Additionally, the Snow Sports Program Director will supervise other Okemo Competition Center staff, including competition events staff, and have responsibilities involving department budgeting, payroll, hiring and training of staff. Applicants must be enthusiastic team players with excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills. Expert level ski or snowboard ability is required, along with ability to ski/snowboard all trails on the mountain. Prior coaching and athletic administration experience is a must; 10 + years is preferred. US Ski & Snowboard Level 300 or higher coaching certification preferred and full PSIA certification a plus. A valid driver’s license is required. This is a Seasonal Department Head position at Okemo Mountain Resort, but combined with Okemo Mountain School duties, makes for a full-time year round position between the two entities.
