Human Resources Specialist
Human Resources | Full Time | Year Round
Okemo Mountain Resort, a Best Places to Work in Vermont, has an opening for an enthusiastic individual to join our year round team as a Human Resources Specialist. A large focus of this position is recruitment and training for our four-season resort. The ideal candidate is motivated by sourcing candidates into a fun, fast-paced work environment. Must be creative and continually seek new opportunities to share our Okemo brand, expanding applicant pools. Additional responsibilities include applicant screening, maintenance of the HRIS, planning and orchestration of staff activities, delivery of guest service, safety and on-boarding training to staff, and other human resources tasks as needed. This position involves working in a fast paced, high-volume environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work with diverse staff, and adapt to a variable schedule a must. Must be willing to travel, comfortable presenting to large groups, and be able to contribute to and deliver training curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years previous human resources experience in recruitment at multiple levels. A valid driver’s license is required. Previous training experience a plus.
