What position should I apply for at Okemo Mountain Resort?
In some ways Okemo is like a small town. We have many departments, all doing very different kinds of work. There are full-time and part-time job opportunities in a variety of areas. If you decide you want to work at Okemo, give thought to the following questions before applying and interviewing for a position:

Do I enjoy being inside or outside?

Do I enjoy interacting with other people or do I prefer being behind the scenes?

Do I want to work days? Nights? Full-time? Part-time?

Do I have specific skills that I hope to use in my job?

Does Okemo have any full-time year round positions available?

Does Okemo have a grooming policy?
Yes, all employees are required to present themselves in a clean, well-groomed, and professional manner. We call this the Okemo Team Look. For specific details regarding our grooming guidelines, please be sure to inquire by contacting the Human Resources department at jobs@okemo.com. You can also review the Okemo Culture link under the employment section of www.okemo.com. Okemo's Grooming Policy/Team Look covers hair, jewelry, tattoos, beards, moustaches & goatees, uniforms/clothing, footwear, and personal hygiene. You must be willing to adhere to these standards should you be hired for a position.

How do I apply for a position at Okemo Mountain Resort?
An online application is located under the employment section of the website. Please note, all required fields must be completed when submitting the online application. There is also an option to upload your resume and cover letter during the online application process. However, a resume submittal is not considered in place of the employment application – the employment application must be complete. All online applications go directly to the Human Resources Department where they are processed. If you prefer to have a paper copy application sent to you, request through the Human Resources Department at jobs@okemo.com or call 802-228-1963 to have an application mailed to the address you provide.

Okemo also has an annual Job Fair in October where hiring managers are present to meet with applicants and discuss current employment opportunities. We hold additional jobs fairs as needed. Our job fairs are the best opportunity for applicants to speak to several hiring managers and learn about available positions. Walk-ins are accepted at the Human Resources Office, located at the Clock Tower.

How do I check the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application via e-mail at jobs@okemo.com or by calling the Human Resources Department at 802-228-1963.

Do I need to complete more than one application per season, or complete an application for each position I am interested in?
You only need to fill out one application per season (i.e. summer or winter of each year) for all positions. The employment application provides the opportunity to list three choices for position applying for. If you are interested in a new opening and have already filled out an application, call the Human Resources Department at 802-228-1963 to update your application.

As an employee of Okemo Mountain Resort, what benefits are available to me?

Does Okemo Mountain Resort provide housing for employees?
We have a Housing Referral List of rental properties in the area that we provide as a resource to our employees. Copies of the Housing Referral List are provided in the Human Resources Office at the Clock Tower, and are available starting in mid-September. We also have a flyer meant to outline additional resources and tips for finding and securing seasonal housing. Contact jobs@okemo.com for more information. Note – housing opportunities in Ludlow can be limited. Based on this, it is beneficial to look for housing in some of the surrounding towns including Mt. Holly, Plymouth, Proctorsville, Cavendish, Chester and Springfield.

Does Okemo sponsor work visas?
Visa sponsorships are very limited, please check with us each June to determine availability.

Is Okemo Mountain Resort accessible via public transportation?
Yes, The Current, a transit operated out of Bellows Falls, VT has stops on a daily basis in Bellows Falls, Chester, Springfield, Proctorsville and Ludlow.  It picks up and drops off at Okemo beginning the day after Thanksgiving through the first week of April.  Active Okemo employees riding to and from work may do so at no cost, provided you present your season pass/employee ID to the driver.  When riding The Current, please be courteous and respectful at all times.  Note: The pick-up and drop-off times for this transit are designed to accommodate the resort operation.
