YUKON KORNELIUS SPECIAL GUEST LINEUP CONTINUES TO GROW FOR CONCERT AT OKEMO MOUNTAIN RESORT MARCH 16

What: Yukon Kornelius, headlining band for the Okemo FestEVOL Concert, announces additional special guests to its lineup

When: Saturday, March 16, 2013, 3 p.m.

Where: Okemo Mountain Resort, Ice House Arena at Jackson Gore, Ludlow, Vermont

Details:
For the first time in five years, the rock supergroup Yukon Kornelius will play the East Coast in a special one-night performance at Okemo Mountain Resort, Vermont on Saturday, March 16.  The concert, which also includes O.A.R., is part of the third annual FestEVOL concert series.

Yukon Kornelius was founded in 2008 by Dave Matthews Band bassist Stefan Lessard, as well as Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, Adam Gardner of Guster and drummer Eric Fawcett.  Originating while the musicians were filming the Warren Miller sports movie, Children of Winter, their love for snowsports, charitable missions and music sealed the band’s creation.  Soon after, news of the group grew in the music world; now when Yukon Kornelius plays, as many as 20 musicians and celebrities take the stage to perform together, resulting in a completely unique concert experience.

New confirmed guests scheduled to play at the Okemo show include:
Rashawn Ross from Dave Matthews Band
Warren DeMartini from RATT
DJ Logic
Jason Biggs - Actor/Cow Bell Player
Sully Erna from Godsmack

Previously announced guests also playing with Yukon Kornelius:
Dee Snider of Twisted Sister
Marc Roberge and Jerry DePizzo of O.A.R.
Brett Scallions of Fuel
Brad Corrigan of Dispatch

Prior to Yukon Kornelius’ performance, O.A.R. will take the stage to open the evening.  The band recently released their fifth live album and second live performance DVD, Live on Red Rocks, which was filmed and recorded at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater on July 15, 2012.

The concert will take place at the Ice House Arena, located at Jackson Gore.  Concert only tickets are on sale now at YukonKornelius.com.  Concert and lift ticket packages as well as lodging discounts are available for purchase at Okemo.com.
