VALUE-SAVVY SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS PICK OKEMO
LUDLOW, Vt. - Skiers and riders are on the lookout for a good deal on lift tickets and lodging. Okemo Mountain Resort continues to offer value-savvy visitors a variety of ways to save.
Season Passes
Without a doubt, the best value for skiers and riders who frequent Okemo Mountain Resort is the purchase of a season pass. Okemo offers a variety of options to suit every budget. Okemo's Sunday One-Day Season Pass is a great "starter" pass for weekend day-trippers and it is priced right at an early-bird rate of $299 for adults ($359 after Oct. 11). This direct-to-lift season pass has four blackout dates, but is valid all other Sundays throughout the season. Okemo's Ultra Pass is the top-of-the-line offering. This completely unrestricted pass is valid every day of the season. It includes added-value benefits such as early lift access and discounts on lessons, rentals, culinary and fitness club membership. The Ultra Pass, priced at $1,469 for adults, includes access to the lifts at Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Crested Butte and Stratton. Five additional season pass options means there is a season-long solution for every budget and lifestyle.
Flex Cards
For Okemo fans with a penchant for flexibility, there is the Frequent Skier Flex Card. Flexible savings are available all season long. When skiers and snowboarders purchase an Okemo Flex Card for $99, plus tax (prior to Nov. 15 and $119 afterward), they save: 50 percent on weekday, non-holiday (Monday through Friday), single-day lift ticket rates; 25 percent on weekend and holiday single-day lift ticket rates; 50 percent on single-day lift ticket rates every day in November, and from March 21 through closing day in April. Fifty percent savings will also apply on select Sundays in January and March. Flex Card holders also receive e-mail notification of special deals offered throughout the season. As an added bonus, Okemo Flex card benefits are available at Okemo's sister resort, Mount Sunapee Resort, in N.H. (days, dates and discount values may vary)
Partial Day
Partial-day lift tickets are another great way to save. In addition to its popular half-day lift ticket offer, Okemo offers a partial-day lift ticket that starts at 2 p.m. Perfect for eager overnight guests who arrive prior to check-in, this lift ticket option is just $30 for adults, $26 for Young Adults and Seniors, and $20 for Juniors and Super Seniors. This discount ticket deal is available every day with no restrictions and can be purchased at both Okemo Ski + Ride School desk locations.
Ski & Stay
Combining lift tickets with lodging is one of the best ways to save on a winter getaway. Overnight guests who book their stay through Okemo Mountain Resort's reservation system will enjoy the convenience of charging goods and services directly to their room account at nearly 100 sales points across the resort. As an added bonus, guests who book a minimum of three midweek (Sunday through Thursday) nights will automatically receive a resort credit that they can access immediately after checking in. The resort credit starts at $50 and varies according to lodging type and location. Midweek guests also receive an afternoon of complimentary skiing or riding on their arrival day. Potential lodging guests can call 1-800-78-OKEMO for more information.
Multi-day
The purchase of multiple, consecutive days of skiing and snowboarding leads to incremental savings. A more convenient and flexible way to save on multiple days of skiing and riding is the purchase of Okemo's 8-Pack and 12-Pack. The Okemo 8-Pack is a pre-purchase of eight unrestricted, single, full-day lift tickets for the price of seven. The 8-Pack is valid every day of the 20010/2011 season with no restrictions and it is transferable between family and friends. It may be applied toward the purchase of one or two tickets per day. When purchased prior to Nov. 16, pricing is: Adults $557; Young Adults/Seniors $487; Juniors/Super Seniors $375. The Okemo 12-Pack is a pre-purchase of 12 unrestricted, single, full-day lift tickets for the price of ten.
