Okemo Satisfaction

OKEMO’S “TAKE 60” GIVES SKIERS FLEXIBILITY
LUDLOW, Vt. – “If you don’t like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes” … or an hour. Like Mark Twain, Okemo Mountain Resort is confident in the fickleness of Mother Nature. The resort is also so confident in its ability to offer consistent surface conditions, that they are providing skiers and riders with a flexible alternative to their Try-Before-You-Buy, First-Hour-Free program. It is called “Take 60.”
New this winter, rather than limiting Okemo guests to sampling snow conditions only during the first hour of lift operations, Okemo intends to accommodate skiers’ and riders’ busy schedules by inviting them to take the entire first hour after they purchase their lift ticket – no matter what time they start their ski day – to decide if they are completely satisfied with their on-mountain experience. If skiers and riders choose not to continue their day with Okemo, they can just stop by the Resort Services Desk for a return-visit coupon.
Okemo receives nearly 200 inches of natural snow annually. Okemo has spent 30 years building its reputation for superlative snow and surface conditions through its snow management practices and arsenal of 1100 snowmaking guns that blanket 96 percent of Okemo’s trails.
Rising above the village of Ludlow, in south-central Vermont, Okemo Mountain Resort is a four-season playground that built its reputation for quality and superior guest service as a winter retreat for skiers and snowboarders. Originally a small, community-run ski hill, Okemo began to blossom in 1982 under the ownership of Tim and Diane Mueller. Creating “The Okemo Difference” consistently earns the Resort accolades and awards for snow quality, grooming, terrain parks, family programs, slopeside lodging, resort dining and guest service. Okemo offers skiers and snowboarders 119 trails, 19 lifts and two base areas with full-service amenities. In addition to an on-snow lineup of family fun, Okemo offers a variety of alternative activities including ice skating, snow tubing, snowshoeing, a pool and fitness center, spa services, and a new mountain coaster attraction that operates in summer and winter. Two 18-hole championship golf courses and a family adventure zone highlight the warm-weather offerings, and Okemo is the ideal hub from which to launch a New England adventure and exploration at any time of the year.
