>more on-mountain activities

There is so much more to do at Okemo, besides skiing and riding.  From snowshoeing and nordic skiing at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center, to recreating or exercise at the Pool & Fitness Center, having a massage, or playing a round of indoor golf. Okemo also has a video arcade located at the Jackson Gore Inn, movie nights on Saturdays during the ski season, and s'mores making available at the Coleman Brook Tavern. Back outside you can enjoy snow tubing, wagon rides, moonlight snowshoe tours, or just a relaxing seat by the bonfire.

If you'd like to speak to someone personally about plans for your upcoming stay, please call (802) 228-1600.

The Firepit & Snow Fun Playground

Unlatch those boots and relax fireside under the stars with family and friends. This slopeside gathering spot is a great place to exchange stories of the day, meet new friends, and unwind with drinks. It's also a fun spot to sit back and watch the groomers bring the mountain to life, busily preparing the hill for another great day!

And let's not forget the Snow Fun Playground - a HUGE hit with the kids last season. Our snow fun park provides great climbing and crawling structures covered in snow for exploring and sliding.

Snow Tubing Park

This slopeside tubing park makes a perfect apres ski activity for the whole family! The 4-lane tubing park is located just off the magic carpet in the courtyard at Jackson Gore. Tubes are available for rent by the hour. Please note that children must be at least 42" to ride and you must sign a waiver to participate (children under 18 must have parental signature). Purchase tickets and see full rules at the Learning Center desk at Jackson Gore.

Stay tuned for opening dates for the 09.10 season!

Snow Cat Dinner Experience

You step out into the cold night air, stars twinkling overhead. The headlights of your diesel-powered, all-terrain-tracked snow cat "carriage," pierce the darkness and cast a yellow glow on the expansive snow-covered ski trails ahead. So starts Okemo Mountain Resort's Snow Cat Dinner Experience.

After settling into a seat with your dining companion the engine rumbles and the gears engage, coaxing you gently into the comfort of the seat back. Soon, the golden glow of light from trailside homes comes into view en route to epic, Okemo's eclectic mountainside restaurant for a five course candlelit meal prepared especially for you by Chef Craig Cornell.  When you're fully satiated and warmed to the core from the fire, it's time to make the trek back to Jackson Gore.  The snow cat awaits you in the crisp winter night, to take you on your journey back along the snowy trails.

This very unique experience is offered every Saturday evening between December 26th and March 13th with the exception of February 13th (as we will offer it on Valentine's Day instead) and February 20th.  Departure from the Jackson Gore Inn lobby is scheduled for 6:30, 7 & 7:30 pm. Seating is very limited for each evening and reservations are required, so please call ahead early and secure your spot. A prix fixe of $125 per person does not include tax or gratuity.

Call (802) 228-1600 for more information or to make a reservation for your snow cat dining adventure!

My favorite thing about Okemo? This tissue dispensers at the lifts. I mean, when you're a public figure you can't have things hanging out of your nose or a runny nose. Everybody's looking at ya. Everybody's got cameras.
