what to pack

Diane Mueller used to do these lists for her kids when they were old enough to pack for themselves. Diane says "It taught them responsibility, made my life easier and they only forgot to pack something once after they were old enough for me not to check everything they laid out."

Everyday wear:

underwear
socks
outfits for dinner
shoes or boots for dinner
blue jeans
sweatshirt(s)
sweater(s)
pants
sneakers
bathing suit
pajamas
toiletries
workout clothes

For the slopes:

skis, boots + poles
snowboard, boots
hat
helmet & goggles
sunglasses
neck gator
long underwear (non-cotton)
ski socks
turtlenecks
ski gloves or mittens and liners
winter jacket and snow pants
chapstick
hand + foot warmers
wax + ski tools

Miscellaneous:

camera
book, games, CD's
snowshoes
ice skates

Before leaving the house:

take out the garbage
water plants
turn down the heat
care for pets
clean out refridgerator
turn off the lights
lock the door and head to OKEMO!
