Okemo Snowboarding Programs

2007-2008 season

GROUP LESSONS
(Levels 1-4, Ages 7 and up)

Riders come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and ability levels. That's what makes the sport so great. And we offer programs for anyone who aspires to take their skills up a notch, whether you’re into ripping trails, grinding rails, or trying out our two Super Pipes.

Group lessons are available daily at 10 am and 1 pm. We also offer special 11 am sessions on weekends and holidays (Levels 1 & 2 only). Group Lessons are available for ability levels 1-4. If you're looking for a great beginner value package, we highly recommend our First Tracks and Double Tracks programs.

Spring Reservation Information: Reservations are required for all Learning Center Programs to guarantee availability. Please call the Reservation Center at (802) 228-1600 to verify availability. Note, some lesson programs have been consolidated at this point in the season to maximize availability. This may result in your selection only being available at one of our base areas.

First Tracks & Double Tracks Beginner Value Packages (Levels 1-2)

First Tracks is for snowboarders who want to learn the basics. With First Tracks you'll get a complete rental package, two beginner group lessons, and unlimited use of Okemo's lower mountain lifts.

Double Tracks is a two-day program that builds on the skills learned in the first day of riding by getting students back out for a second straight day. Double Tracks includes three lessons, two on the first day, and one the morning of the second day. On Day 2, your lift ticket can be upgraded to a full-day, full mountain lift ticket.

First Tracks Plus Card! When you purchase a First Tracks or Double Tracks learn-to-ski or learn-to-snowboard package, you'll receive a coupon that you may redeem at Okemo's Mountain Service Centers for your very own First Tracks Plus Card entitling you to:

• discounts on lift ticket purchases, 7 days a week
• discount on further group lessons
• discounts on further rental package purchases
• discounts on non-sale retail items at the Okemo SnowSports Center
• Your First Tracks Plus Card is a $100 value and is valid for one calendar-year from date of issue!

Advance reservations are highly recommended for all Group Lessons, Specialty Clinics, Adventure Workshops and Full Day Childrens' lessons. They are not required for First Tracks or Double Tracks Packages. Please call (802) 228-1600 to reserve.  Last minute bookings are possible on a space available basis only.

SNOWBOARD SPECIALTY CLINICS
(For intermediate and advanced riders, ages 7 and up)

Available at 10 a.m. You can take your riding to the next level by choosing from a variety of Specialty Clinics. Intermediate riders can select either the Introduction to Park & Pipe Clinic or Introduction to Freeriding Clinic. For advanced riders there is an Advanced Freeriding Clinic. Decide what terrain you like best and what type of riding you want to do, then pick the clinic that's best for you. Advance reservations are highly recommended for Specialty Clinics.

Introduction to Park & Pipe Clinic - You ride Blue terrain but want to try shaped terrain and our halfpipes. Introduction to Freeriding Clinic - You ride some Blue trails and want to develop your skills on more varied terrain. Advanced Freeriding Clinic - You ride the entire mountain and now want to challenge yourself with different turn shapes and varying speeds.

SNOWBOARD ADVENTURE WORKSHOPS
(For intermediate and advanced riders, ages 7 and up)

Available at 1 p.m. You want to focus in on your favorite thing to do on the slopes. You want personalized attention and top notch coaching while still getting the chance to ride with a couple of your peers who are into the same thing. These workshops are topic focused, have a maximum of 4 participants, and will give you all the tips and pointers to get you where you want to be. Advance reservations are highly recommended for Adventure Workshops.

Advanced Park - Spend the afternoon with coaching from Okemo's best learning new moves and tactics on Okemo's big hits and rails. Advanced Pipe - You're riding Okemo's Superpipes but you haven't developed the skills and confidence to 'go big' just yet. Let Okemo's pros help you develop what it takes to get up and out of the pipe! Your Choice - What would you like to work on? Let us know what you'd like to develop for a skill, what trail you might like to conquer, or what part of the mountain you would like to explore. Form a group of your own with your buddies, or let us group you together with other riders who have similar interests, all while keeping a 4:1 student to instructor ratio.

** Maximum 4 people per workshop per instructor.

Notes and Meeting Points:

• Levels 1-4 meet at Lower Meeting Area and Jackson Gore Meeting Area.
• Meeting areas and lesson schedules are subject to change prior to December 16, 2007 and after March 24, 2008.
• Purchase of a lift ticket is necessary for all lessons requiring use of a chairlift.
• Lessons and clinics may ski/ride terrain other than those indicated in the lesson/clinic descriptions. Terrain selection is at the discretion of the individual instructor based upon the ability level of the group, as well as trail and weather conditions of the day.

For Adventure Workshops:

• All Adventure Workshops meet at the Upper Meeting Area Only.

For Specialty Clinics:

• All Specialty Clinics meet at the Upper Meeting Area or Jackson Gore Meeting Area.
