Participation in the Council Team is by invitation only. Selection is based on several factors including ski racing performance, motivation, dedication and teamwork. The team will be selected following the Development Time Trials, which is held at the end of December. All Development Team members are invited to participate in this race. The Council Team requires a greater level of commitment than the Development Team. Beginning in January, the team competes in a series of Mid-Vermont Council races and many athletes will qualify for the Vermont J4 State Championships in mid-March. Athletes must join USSA, VARA and OMARA. |
