1. Why is Okemo a great place to work?

2. Is Okemo Mountain Resort currently accepting applications for the 2009-2010 winter season?

Yes, we are accepting applications for the 2009-2010 winter season. For more information about the positions we will have available, please contact us or check our web site.

3. Does Okemo have any full-time year round positions available?

Please check our job postings listed on the employment page for updated employment opportunities throughout the season. Full-time year round positions will be listed under this section and indicated as such.

4. How do I apply for a position at Okemo Mountain Resort?

An online application is located under the employment section. Simply answer the questions and press the submit button. All online applications go directly to the Human Resources Department where they are processed.

If you prefer to have an application sent to you, either e-mail the Human Resources Department at jobs@okemo.com or call 802-228-4041 to have an application mailed to the address you provide.

Okemo also has several Job Fairs prior to and throughout the winter season. Please refer to the employment page for dates and times.

Walk-ins are accepted at the Administration Office. Hours are as follows:

Summer (May – October): Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Winter season opening to closing: Seven days a week, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

5. How do I check the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application via e-mail at jobs@okemo.com or by calling the Human Resources Department at 802-228-4041.

6. Do I need to complete more than one application per season?

No, you only need to fill out one application per season (i.e. summer or winter of each year) for all positions. If you are interested in a new opening and have already filled out an application, just call the Human Resources Department to update your application.

7. As an employee of Okemo Mountain Resort, what benefits are available to me?

Okemo has many great resort benefits for our staff in addition to a great work environment. Benefits depend on the status of your employment. Please refer to the employment page for a general list.

8. Does Okemo Mountain Resort provide housing for employees?

We have a Housing Referral List of rental properties in the area that we provide as a resource to our employees. Copies of the Housing Referral List are provided in the Administrative Office and are available starting in mid-September. Contact jobs@okemo.com for more information. The classified section of the following local newspapers list rental properties in the surrounding Ludlow area: http://www.rutlandherald.com and www.messengervt.com.

9. Does Okemo sponsor work visas?

Unfortunately we no longer have visa sponsorship opportunities available for winter 09.10.

Okemo Mountain Resort is closed for skiing and riding. The lifts will start turning again in a few short months! In the meantime, please enjoy all that Okemo has to offer in the spring, summer and fall.

One of the things that is helpful with my schedule I get to ski between Thanksgiving and Christmas more than any other time since I’m not as busy. Okemo is open and they work hard to be open and have the mountain covered with snow.
