JACKSON GORE OUTDOOR MUSIC SERIES
ROCKS OUT WITH THE MICHAEL CLEARY BAND AUG. 15
LUDLOW, Vt. – The Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series continues Friday, August 15, with the blues/rock sounds of The Michael Cleary
Band.
The Michael Cleary Band is a Hartford, Conn., institution. Making original blues/rock music with a twist for nearly two decades, the band has been called Hartford's answer to the Allman Brothers. The MCB is a perennial favorite in the Hartford Advocate's reader's poll and previous winners of the "Best Rock" and "Best Blues" categories. They have played with Tower of Power, Little Feat, Average White Band, Joan Osbourne, Peter Wolf, NRBQ and countless other regional and national acts.
On Friday nights throughout the summer season, the lawn in the courtyard at Okemo’s Jackson Gore Inn is transformed into an outdoor concert venue featuring renowned local and regional entertainers. Admission to the Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series is free. The grounds open at 5 p.m. and concerts are slated to run from 6 to 9 p.m. Families are welcome and all attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Summertime barbecue favorites and refreshments will be available each week and concert-goers may also dine at Jackson Gore’s Coleman Brook Tavern. Okemo’s Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series is sponsored by Pepsi, 101.5 The Fox, Oldies 104.5, Q106, and The Hatchery.
Following the Michael Cleary Band, the summer lineup for the Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series continues with Twiddle, Aug. 22 and Dr. Burma, Aug. 29.
