JACKSON GORE OUTDOOR MUSIC SERIES
ROUNDS OUT SEASON WITH TWIDDLE AND DR. BURMA

LUDLOW, Vt. – The Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series is winding down with the final two concerts of the season: Twiddle, Aug. 22 and Dr. Burma, Aug. 29

Twiddle takes to the stage on Friday, Aug. 22. Twiddle is a quartet of diverse Vermonters who throw down a shredding live performance. Twiddle’s musical style taps into influences from around the globe for diverse musical and cultural influences. The basic vibe centers on progressive rock, with funk, reggae, jazz, Latin, and even classical elements deftly blended in. Their shows feature original material along with uniquely Twiddle renditions of music from other artists such as Umphrey's McGee, The String Cheese Incident, Stevie Wonder, Toots and the Maytals, Led Zeppelin, and The Jackson Five.

The season’s final concert will feature Dr Burma on Friday, Aug. 29. Dr. Burma has been playing an unstoppable mix of classic soul, blues, funk and originals for enthusiastic audiences all over New England for fifteen years. With a reputation built on dynamic vocals, stellar musicianship, and an irresistible groove, Dr. Burma is one of the area's premier rhythm and blues, make-you-want-to-move bands. Lead vocalist Linda Boudreault has won an enthusiastic following with her unique and soulful style. Prior to joining Dr. Burma she worked in a variety of bands in Franconia and Montpelier including Clean Slate and Cake & Eat It. Boudreault is joined by: Ted Mortimer on guitar and vocals; keyboardist/vocalist, Doug Southworth, who brings a funky New Orleans-influenced sound to the band; bassist Casey Dennis; and drummer Marcus Copening.
