In order to provide a championship club, Okemo's has gathered an excellent Management Team to be responsible for the direction of the Okemo Valley Golf Club, maintenance of the golf course, and management of the Pro Shop. And, our top-notch Golf Professionals are committed to helping any player - beginner or experienced - improve their game and take it to a new level.
Meet the Okemo Valley Team...
Jim Remy, PGA - Vice President/Director of Golf, Vice President of the PGA of America

As Vice President /Director of Golf, Jim will oversee all operations of the golf course, golf training facility and clubhouse operations as well as the Okemo Valley Golf Academy. Jim is a former Okemo Mountain employee. He began working at Okemo in 1972 as a professional ski instructor and later served as Director of Racing until 1984. Jim left Okemo in 1985 to pursue a career in golf. For the past thirteen years he has served as the Director of Golf & Summer Sports at Killington Resort. Jim is a course record holder at Killington Golf Course with an unprecedented round of 36-30-66. His golf background includes positions held at Worcester Country Club in Worcester, MA and at Mount Pleasant Country Club in Boylston, MA as an Assistant Golf Professional. Among the many accolades Jim has received over the course of his golf career, he was honored as the 1997 New England PGA Golf Professional of the Year and is a three-time winner of the Vermont PGA Golf Professional of the Year award. Jim currently serves as a member on the National PGA Board of Control and is an active participant in NEPGA and VTPGA tournament programs. |
Michael Santa Maria - PGA Head Golf Professional

Michaels’ career in the golf business started out as an 11 year old caddie at the Worcester Country Club, sight of the first Ryder Cup, a US Open and a Womens US Open. Over a fifteen year period at Worcester Michael worked his way up through the ranks holding every conceivable job along the way, ball shager, caddie, bagroom boy, then onto Caddie Master/Assistant Professional, at this time Michael became serious about the golf industry and becoming a PGA Golf Professional. Michael moved up to First Assistant Professional for Worcester Country Club, a position he held for three years, during this period Michael earned his PGA Class “A” status. Michael then moved onto to the Nichols Golf Club in Dudley, MA., as the Head Golf Professional for a three year revitalization project, overseeing many facility upgrades. Michael then moved on to the Newport Country Club in Newport, VT., revamped a tournament program, a junior program and energized a teaching program as there Head Golf Professional for the past seven years, before joining the team at Okemo Valley Golf Club, as the Head Golf Professional. |
Rodney Williams, GCSA - Head Course Superintendent of the Golf Division

Rodney Williams most recently served as the Head Course Superintendent at Neshobe Golf Course in Brandon, VT and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Stockbridge School of Agriculture Turf Grass Management Program. Rodney's golf course experience includes positions held at Bellows Falls Country Club in VT and the Hartford Golf Club in Hartford, CT. |
Rick Doyle - Pro Shop Manager

Rick Doyle is a long time employee of Okemo Mountain Resort. He started teaching skiing at Okemo in 1974 and moved into the Food & Beverage department in 1981. A long time golfer, Rick was a natural to move into a position at Okemo Valley Golf Club. Rick is married with three children and resides in Ludlow. " I feel very fortunate to be in a position where I can work around the two sports I enjoy most." |
