We are currently accepting applications for the following Winter 2008-2009 positions:
ACCOUNTING - Accounting Assistant and Cashroom personnel. Requires a high level of accuracy and ability to process transactions quickly.A background in bookkeeping and cash handling required.
ADMINISTRATION - Front Desk Personnel. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills required. Computer experience preferred.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE - Grounds Crew/Condo Maintenance & Transport/Snowmobile Personnel, Daytime Custodians and Pool Attendants. These positions may require a driver’s license and ability to drive a transport/snowmobile vehicle.
COLEMAN BROOK TAVERN - A 250-seat casually elegant full service restaurant and lounge, Coleman Brook Tavern has positions for Servers, Bartenders, Hosts/Hostess, Cooks and Dishwashers. Previous experience required for Server and Bartender positions.. State TIPS Liquor certification preferred.
CULINARY SERVICES & BANQUET STAFF* - Bussers, Cashiers, Cooks, Dishwashers, and Banquet staff.
DAY CARE - Must have previous experience with child development and a willingness to take additional instruction within the first year of employment.
GROOMING - Previous experience with various heavy equipment and grooming equipment required.
HOUSEKEEPING - Housekeepers and Crew Leaders to work in a variety of 1-5 bedroom condominium units. Individuals must have the ability to take direction and work independently in a fast paced environment. Some heavy lifting required. These positions may require a valid driver’s license.
ICE HOUSE ATTENDANTS - Responsibilities include opening and closing duties of the Ice House, providing assistance to owners, members and guests, monitoring the quality of the skating surface and repair and assisting users with skate rentals as necessary. These positions may require cash handling and computer skills depending on the location of the position. Ability to work independently and strong guest service skills required.
INSTRUCTORS FOR SNOW STARS* - (4-7 year old children’s program) - Instructors and Junior Instructors -Front Desk Personnel/ Indoor Staff. Must have excellent communication, organization, guest service and child education skills. Skiing/ Riding positions require an on-snow ability test.
INSTRUCTORS FOR SKIING & SNOWBOARDING -Individuals must be strong, stable skier or rider, with a desire to teach in a professional manner. Positions require an on-snow ability test.
INTERNSHIPS- Students interested in obtaining credit related to their college degree may be considered for the following areas: Accounting, Culinary Services, Day Care, Human Resources, Learning Center Desk, Marketing, Mountain Operations, Mountain Services, Racing, Recreation Center and Snow Stars.
JACKSON GORE REAL ESTATE PROMOTION AGENTS - Responsibilities include the accountability and maintenance of guest vouchers, opening and closing promotional kiosks and reporting daily promotional progress to the Real Estate Marketing Manager. The ideal candidates will be very outgoing, possess poise, presence and self confidence. Excellent public relations and communication skills, previous sales and/or guest service experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
LIFT MAINTENANCE - Lift Mechanics. Previous electrical or mechanical experience required.
LIFT OPERATIONS - Lift Operators,Ticket Checkers & Orchestrators. These individuals should posses excellent guest service skills and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
LODGING/ WELCOME CENTER - Reservationists, Bellmen, Front Desk Clerks & Night Auditor. Individuals should have strong communication skills as well as computer keyboarding and problem solving skills. Previous sales experience a plus.
MOUNTAIN SERVICES & LEARNING CENTER SALES - Sales Agents, Reservationists & Phone Center Personnel, Administrative Assistants, Payroll Assistants and Basketroom Clerks. Applicants must have strong clerical, computer, and communication skills, as well as cash handling experience.
NIGHT CUSTODIANS - Second shift work with additional time required for banquets and special functions. Individuals must have the ability to take direction and work
independently.
PATROL/FIRST AID - Trail Crew. Applicants must be strong, stable skiers or riders and willing to learn the first aid requirements. Additional training may be required. Positions require an on-snow ability test.
PATROL/FIRST AID REGISTERED NURSE - Registered Nurse positions Responsibilities include assessing patients, providing patient treatment and referring patients for further medical evaluation. Requirements include current Vermont Nursing license and ACLS . Previous nursing experience required. Volunteer positions also available.
RACING - Coaches, Race Crew & Administrative Staff. Individuals must be interested in teaching students how to improve their skills and excel at their sport. On-snow ability test required for teaching positions.
REPAIR MECHANIC - Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all rental and guest skis/snowboards, boots and bindings. This position rerquires the ability to use power tools, operate a cash register, communicate with the guests about their equipment, long periods of standing, and the ability to lift and carry skis, snowboards, boots and more. Previous experience with binding and tuning equipment preferred.
RESTAURANT STAFF - Wait Staff, Bartenders, Hosts/Hostess, Bar Backs. Requires previous experience. State TIPS Liquor certification preferred.
SHUTTLE SERVICES - Shuttle Drivers must have CDL w/ passenger endorsement.
SKI & SNOWBOARD SHOP/RETAIL - Soft & Hard Goods Sales Personnel. Previous experience in sales preferred.
SKIER SERVICES - On Hill Skier Services Personnel. Assist with on hill operations including special events and maintaining the appearance of the mountain. Ability to multi task, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment required.
SNOWMAKING - Snowmakers, Pump Station & Compressor Pad Operators. These positions require the operation of a snowmobile, heavy lifting and the ability to work outdoors in any outside environment. Mechanical experience may be required. We have a limited number of indoor positions available.
SPRING HOUSE POOL ATTENDANTS - Responsibilities include providing assistance to owners, members and guests, monitoring pool and spa chemicals and assist with the proper operation of exercise equipment. These positions may require cash handling and computer skills depending on the location of the position. Strong guest service skills and ability to work independently required. Additional duties may include light housekeeping, as required.
TERRAIN PARK & PIPE - Park Rangers. Must be a strong intermediate or above snowboarder or skier.
TICKET SALES - Ticket Sellers. Individuals must possess the ability to think quickly, handle money and process accurate transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
TRAFFIC CONTROL - Attendants. Individuals must have the ability to work independently and in any outside environment.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE - Mechanics, Road & Parking Maintenance. Experience needed in mechanical field to include heavy equipment and diesel engines. Must have a valid driver’s license.
VOLUNTEERS - There are a variety of volunteer positions available including Snow Stars Ambassadors, Mountain Ambassadors, Patrol, First Aid and Racing. Specifics on each position can be obtained from the department manager or Human Resources.

BELL STAFF/VALET – Responsibilities include assisting guests with luggage and parking. Guest service experience required.
FRONT DESK RECEPTIONISTS – Responsibilities include guest check in/out, and booking and following through on reservations. Previous guest service experience required, previous computer skills with a PMS system a plus.
