J1 Visa Applicant Information:J1 visa applicants must be currently enrolled in a university and between the ages of 19 and 30. For those students who qualify, Okemo Mountain Resort works with two J1 recruitment agencies: Aspect Work & Travel and Universal Student Exchange. An Okemo hiring manager will attend job fairs in South America with both of these companies. Okemo Mountain Resort is interested in students who are available for work from December 1st to April 1st and will hire J1 students to work as Lift Operators, Ski Instructors, Snowmakers, Culinary Staff, Front Desk Staff, Night Custodians and Housekeepers. Okemo Mountain Resort is located in South-Central Vermont in the Town of Ludlow. Ludlow is a small rural town with a population of 2,500. Services and amenities in town include: a library, post office, pharmacy, grocery store, laundromat, and several restaurants, banks and retail stores. Ludlow has a police station and fire department. Limited public transportation is available through Connecticut River Transit www.crtransit.org, Amtrak Rail Service www.amtrak.com and Greyhound Bus Lines www.greyhound.com.
