NIGHT MANAGER - LODGING DEPARTMENT
Full-Time Year-Round
 

The primary responsibilities for the Night Manager include coordination of all evening operations (3:00 p.m. -11:30 p.m.) in the Welcome and Lodging Center, including front desk, reservations, bell staff and all guest and owner interactions during the winter seasons.  The schedule for this position requires weekends and the hours generally transition from the 1st shift during the summer (9:00a.m.-5:30p.m.), with extended hours for special summer events and expanding hours in the fall as winter approaches.  Supervisory responsibilities are reduced during the summer season, although this position assists with special projects and is the Manager on Duty on weekends. The ideal candidate will have a high level commitment to sincere guest service; possess a strong operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and Springer Miller Systems (SMS Host) with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. 2-3 years experience in a similar resort environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory role is required.  An Associate's degree in a hospitality related field or equivalent is preferred.  This is a full-time year-round position with benefits including 401K, Medical/Dental, and Disability Insurance, Vacation/Sick/Personal Time/Flex Plan, Ski & Golf Resort Discounts and more.


FRONT DESK – JACKSON GORE INN
Part-Time Summer
Responsibilities include guest check in/out, and booking and following through with reservations.  Previous guest service experience required.  Computer skills with Springer Miller property management system is a plus.  The schedule for this position is part-time, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and weekends are required.  This position has the potential to become full-time.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Full-Time Year-Round

Our Information Systems Team is searching for an individual to assist with the operations of the department which provides support for computer and communication systems.  Systems include MS Windows PCs, ticketing, Retail and Restaurant Point of Sale and Hotel Reservations systems, Web Services, 4 site WAN and Mitel PBX.  This position will include end user training, solving hardware and software problems, ensuring systems integrity and administering user access to the systems.  Must possess a commitment to customer service and excellent oral communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.  The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience in Advanced Computer and Networking systems, network administration in a Windows 2003 active directory environment and experience with telephone systems and wireless networking.  Knowledge of Access or other databases is desirable.  This is a Full-Time Year-Round position with benefits including 401K, Medical, Dental and Disability Insurance, Vacation/Sick Time Personal Time, Flex Plan, Ski & Golf Resort Discounts and more!

RENTAL AND REPAIR SHOP MANAGER
Full-Time Winter
This position includes supervising, hiring and training of employees, cash accounting, daily reconciliation,budgetary responsibilities, scheduling of employees, inventory control and guest services.  Computerexperience and previous management experiencerequired.  Rental/Repair Shop experience preferred.  The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.  This is a Seasonal Department Head position beginning in Septemeber through April. MANAGER IN TRAINING PROGRAM
Full-Time Winter
The Manager In Training Program has been developed to train management candidates in the many facets of the resort industry, including finance, human resources, marketing, hotel operations, golf operations and more. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a resort, hotel, recreation or hospitality program who is looking for a great opportunity to sharpen their classroom skills in a live environment.  Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness and flexibility to learn the many facets of a resort business.  The duration of the program is approximately 8-10 months beginning in the fall.  Applications must be accompanied by a resume and letters of reference from professors and past or current employers. Internal candidates must also submit a letter of recommendation from their current manager.

SNOW REPORTER/MARKETING VIDEOGRAPHER
Full-Time Winter
Responsibilities include the creation of daily snow report scripts, voice and web site snow updates, taking and posting the "Photo of the Day", video acquisition & pre-production,tracking projects, clerical duties, and other related marketing projects. Experience with digital camcorder and editing software required.  Must be willing to work early morning hours. Qualifications include a degree in communications/broadcast journalism/film production, and an operating knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.  Ability to ski/snowboard at an advanced level necessary. Previous experience in an office environment strongly encouraged.  This position begins November 1.

GROUP SALES REPRESENTATIVES
Full-Time Winter

The Sales Representative is involved with daily group ticketing operations, group reservations, and administrative work. Experience required includes excellent communications by phone, voice and written correspondence, as well as strong computer and mathematical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required and knowledge of ACT! a plus.

SALES COORDINATOR
Full-Time Winter

The Sales Coordinator is involved with daily operations of the Group Sales Center including opening and closing procedures, ticketing and accurate payment collection and cash-out procedures. In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for inbound and outbound sales calls to secure group business, book and coordinate group lodging needs, and attend retail shows and club/corporate/group functions. Some day and overnight travel required. Experience required includes a knowledge of accounting procedures including strong math skills, the ability to make quick and accurate decisions in a fast paced environment and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of database management and lodging reservation systems a plus. 1 year of resort sales experience and a college degree in business or experience in a related sales field preferred. This position will begin in early-August and requires the ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate or higher level.
