Great American Party

Location Jackson Gore Inn Courtyard
Description

Presented by Kelley Sales & Service

Okemo Mountain Resort will celebrate Independence Day, July 5, with its first-ever Great American Party. This new event includes a free concert with two bands, The Native Heads and Blue Fox and the Rockin’ Daddys. The festivities will run from 1-8 pm, with a barbecue and fun family games and activities, plus Okemo’s Adventure Zone will be open for lots of high-flying family fun. Admission to Okemo’s Great American Party is free.

Okemo’s Jackson Gore Inn courtyard will be transformed into an all-American Fourth of July party complete with midway games, a dunk tank, a hot dog eating contest and a 150-foot Wahii WaterSlide. Okemo’s culinary staff will be serving up some cold beer, Pepsi and fresh-from-the-grill burgers, hot dogs and other summertime favorites. Party-goers can opt for full-service dining with al fresco seating at Coleman Brook Tavern. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets for seating on the lawn in front of the concert stage where two bands will provide a rockin’ soundtrack to the day’s activities.

Native Heads are a dynamic group of musicians working out of the Silver City Studio in Newtown Conn. The band’s sets can be jam-packed with high-energy groove or skanking with their new dirty reggae sound.

Blue Fox and the Rockin’ Daddys is an energy-infused blues band led by Blue Fox, a well-traveled bluesman from Cambridge, Mass. Deep, growly vocals accompany strong guitar licks for a rousing sound that appeals to a wide audience.

Zipline tours and Segway Personal Transport tours may be reserved by calling 802-228-1600.

NOTE: Admission to the Great American Party is free, but food, beverages, Adventure Zone wristbands, Zipline Tours, Segway PT Tours and other offerings are available at an additional cost.
