Tater Hill walks 100 Holes for Local Charities!

The Tater Hill Member’s and Guest’s raised over $1,500 for four local and national charities!

On September 5^th, golfers set out to walk 100 holes at Tater Hill. The 5 eighteen hole and 10 added holes, started out at 6:10 am. With 5 caddies / members each sharing a 18 hole loop. Carl Erik Westberg set out on the 1^st leg, Skip Raymond on round #2, Walt and Anita Pawlak on round 3, Ed Macniak on round 4, Deb and kait Pawlak on round 5 and Carol and Townsend Gilbert on the last 10 holes. Never once setting foot in a cart! The estimated walking distance was just over 26 miles!

As most golfers are aware, Labor Day Weekend kicks off “Patriot Golf Day” which is a National fund raiser that clubs all over the country try to collect $5.00 for each golfer. Money raised goes to “Wounded Warriors” families all over the country. We also raised money for Vermont Hurricane Irene Victims along with Vermont Junior Golfers. With contributions pouring in and goals set for $200.00 per charity, Tater Hill had now raised well over the $600.00 goal. So in addition to these three charities, they added 1 more charity. The club has a great following for the Susan Komen Foundation and therefore, added that to our list.
